PURPOSE 2. To see that corporate crimes are uncovered before they cripple a healthy company. 3. To deter corporate executives from committing future crimes by demonstrating that their activities will be reported. 4. To provide a truly anonymous system for employees of every company in America, both private and public to report wrongdoing with out fear of reprisal and retaliation. 5. To provide a private sector solution to solve two limitations in the Sarbanes–Oxley legislation. The first limitation of Sarbanes-Oxley, is that it only applies to publicly held corporations (and a few of their affiliates). Publicly held companies only employ approximately 20% of the U.S. workforce. The other 80% are employed by privately held entities which also experience the same problem. The second limitation is that Sarbanes-Oxley mandates that public corporations create an “internal” Whistle Blowing mechanism, which most employees will never use out of fear of reprisal and retaliation.
